NEWS FLASH: Don't laugh at me if I'm not laughing along. It makes you look stupid.

  • Lives: In a house on the east coast of Hawaii
  • Lives With: My mother, father, and little sister.

  • Aspiring: Teacher at my alma mater high school.
  • Hobbies: Drawing, writing, reading, working, drinking coffee, and watching TV.

Stuff I Like And Stuff I Don’t

  • Favorite Class: American Government, followed closely by Art.
  • Least Favorite Class: I don’t care much for algebra right now. I despise foreign language courses. I will teach myself a language if I want to, thank you.
  • Favorite Food: Pasta
  • Least Favorite Food: Anything from Taco Bell. Gaah, it needs to die! Spam is disgusting as well, along with teriyaki anything.
  • Favorite Movie: I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry
  • Least Favorite Movie: Any of the Harry Potters. If my mom puts one of those on, I will go to bed - even if it’s daytime. I hate them.
  • Favorite TV Show: More like shows - Criminal Minds, House, How I Met Your Mother, Saturday Night Live, Family Guy, South Park, The Simpsons, The Late Late Show
  • Least Favorite TV Show: CSI: Miami. I used to like it, but ever since going to Miami and lovin’ it, I haven’t been able to stomach a second of it. I suppose it makes me miss Miami.

Long Version

Me in my sunnies being scene-like.

Oh, Jesus, I suck at writing these. I’m Katie, if you haven’t figured that out, although I’m more commonly known in my family as Kate or Lazy Asshole. At home I live a solitary life while my unsupportive family members do their thing. I’m almost always found on the computer - reading my friends’ blogs, checking my e-mail, playing solitaire, browsing a few forums, or working on homework. I also draw and paint quite a bit, although it’s not often I’ll find somebody who likes my artwork.

But enough with the boring stuff. Obviously, nothing about me is boring, but the stuff coming up is more exciting than the previous items mentioned.

This would be my cat, Cheeto, chillaxing on the deck railing.

After I graduate from high school at the ripe old age of seventeen, I hope to go to university here in my hometown. I will graduate with a degree in who-knows-what (maybe humanities, I don’t know) and become a teacher at my alma mater high school. I think that it would be really cool to come back to my old school and teach alongside my old teachers. You know, boss them around for once. If it turns out that I can’t be a teacher, I’ll be a TA (teacher’s aide). But I want to go into the education field. For sure. People have said that I shouldn’t be a teacher, because you can’t go anywhere, but I don’t care. I enjoy teaching.

Me and my classic scene posing.

I’m a very picky eater. I’m not fond of most vegetables. I hate eggs. I don’t like hamburgers, cheeseburgers, anything from Taco Bell, pretty much any fast food, or steak/ribs in any shape or form. I do, however, eat and enjoy pasta in any shape or form, hot dogs, cold cereal, spinach, corn, cheese, pretty much any Italian dish, meatball subs from Subway (mm), baked potatoes, ranch dressing, and chicken. Oh, the looks I get when I tell people, “No, I don’t want a barbecue burger, I don’t like them.” As a matter of fact, I don’t like ANYTHING barbecued. It ruins stuff.

In terms of media, I’m a sucker for the classics. When it comes to books, I enjoy Russian literature (Nabokov’s Lolita, Dostoevsky’s Crime And Punishment, Tolstoy’s War And Peace, Bulgakov’s The Master And Margarita, the list goes on) and dystopian novels (Orwell’s 1984, Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, and Huxley’s Brave New World to name a few). I have little patience for fantasy books; they all wind up having the same plot after a while.

My evil bloodthirsty duck, Tuck Edelstein, coming to bite me.

I don’t watch many movies. It’s impossible for me to watch a movie more than 5 times and not wind up hating it. But I love The Godfather and the original Star Wars. I’ve never watched a horror movie and I’ve seen more bad comedies than perhaps anybody else. I love bad comedies. My favorites are Borat, Norbit, I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry, Blades of Glory, and Knocked Up.

Also, I have a ducks. They are Tuck Edelstein (pictured), Brett, John, J.B., Patrick, Joe, Larry, Daffy (I did not name this duck), Lucy, Vader, Maul (he doesn’t actually maul things), Jim (a girl), Victoria (a boy), Donny Osmond, Marie Osmond (I once saw Donny on top of her - and they’re brother and sister), Paris Hilton, Potatoe (homage to Dan Quayle), and Lil’ Katie.

I suppose I’m off now. It’s ridiculously hard trying to talk about myself without spilling my life story, which I’m saving for another page…
